Heathrow T5 Robot
I read with great interest the following article: Apparently Heathrow terminal 5 now has a robot conveyor belt robot that will always deliver your luggage to the correct place at the correct time no matter what time you arrive at the airport. The article headline made me wonder what this 'Robot' actually looks like. I think it should look something like this: Wouldn't it be great if the T5 Robot was a robot like the one above? Walking around Terminal 5 with giant conveyor belts for arms. It could take passengers luggage and would, of course, promise not to lose any bags. This would definitely remove the stress of checking into airports for me.Robot promises not to lose your bags at Terminal 5
Heads are rolling because of this crazy robots blunders: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/apr/16/britishairwaysbusiness.theairlineindustry
So Robot, how was your first day at work? Did you scoop up all the bags and deliver them to the planes on time?
I like this Robot. And I am all for the new terminal - the old ones are too old now. As for the expansion of a 3rd runway, I say go for it. The new Crossrail link will make it easier to access Heathrow from Central/East London. Build, build, build!
The robots due to poor working standards will probably go on strike.
Knowing BA, they'll find a way to lose the luggage somewhere along the "11 mile"-long conveyor belts!
